Safety Tips

Effective Date: April 2026 · Last Updated: April 2026

Your safety comes first. Sugar Daddyz is a platform for meeting people, and the most magical connections still happen between strangers. Please read these tips before chatting with anyone new, and definitely before meeting in person. If something ever feels wrong, trust your instincts and step away.

1. Verify Before You Trust

  • Look for multiple recent photos, a filled-out bio, and consistent details.
  • Ask for a live video call before meeting in person. Real members should be willing.
  • Reverse-image search profile photos if something feels off — stock photos and celebrity images are red flags.
  • Be cautious of profiles that want to move off-platform immediately (WhatsApp, Telegram, Snapchat, email). Scammers do this to avoid our moderation.

2. Meet in Public — Always, the First Time

  • Choose a busy, well-lit public place for a first meeting: a restaurant, hotel lobby, coffee shop, or hotel bar.
  • Never agree to be picked up at your home for a first date.
  • Avoid isolated locations, private residences, and remote destinations until you truly know someone.
  • Plan a short first meeting (an hour or two) so you can exit comfortably if the vibe isn’t right.

3. Tell Someone Where You’re Going

  • Tell a trusted friend or family member who you’re meeting, where, and when you expect to be done.
  • Share your live location with that person via your phone’s built-in location sharing.
  • Arrange a check-in text at a specific time during or after the date.
  • Screenshot the member’s profile and save it in case you need to reference it later.

4. Trust Your Instincts

  • If a conversation makes you uncomfortable, end it. You never need permission to unmatch, block, or walk away.
  • If something feels off in person — pressure, coercion, inconsistent stories, intoxication — leave. Your instincts are data.
  • Pressure to meet quickly, to “prove” yourself, or to escalate physically is a red flag, not a compliment.
  • You never owe anyone anything in exchange for a gift, a meal, or their time. “No” is always a complete sentence.

5. Never Send Money to Someone You Haven’t Met

This is the single most common scam on every dating platform. Assume that any request for money, gift cards, wire transfers, crypto, or financial account information from someone you have not met in person is a scam — even if the story is compelling.

  • No legitimate member will pressure you to send money or share banking details.
  • Do not pay for someone’s travel, medical bills, or emergency fees.
  • Do not accept checks, package forwarding, or “investment opportunities.”
  • Do not share copies of your ID, passport, or financial statements.
  • Report any such requests to us immediately.

6. Protect Your Personal Information

  • Keep your last name, home address, workplace, and daily routine private until you truly trust someone.
  • Use the in-app chat instead of sharing your phone number early on.
  • Be mindful of what your photos reveal — background details can give away your address or workplace.
  • Never share passwords, social security numbers, or financial logins.

7. Stay Sober (Enough)

  • Know your limits. You should always be clear-headed enough to get yourself home safely.
  • Never leave food or drinks unattended. Watch your drink being prepared when possible.
  • If you feel unexpectedly intoxicated or unwell, seek help immediately — tell a bartender, staff member, or call emergency services.

8. Plan Your Own Transportation

  • Drive yourself, take a rideshare, or use public transit. Do not rely on your date for a ride home the first time.
  • Make sure you have a charged phone, cash or a card, and a way home before you go.
  • Know the nearest hotel, rideshare pickup point, or transit stop in case you need to leave quickly.

9. Report Suspicious Behavior

Reporting is how we keep Sugar Daddyz safe for everyone. Please tell us about:

  • Requests for money or financial information.
  • Harassment, threats, or unwanted explicit content.
  • Fake profiles or photos that don’t match the person.
  • Anyone who appears to be a minor.
  • Any illegal activity or solicitation.

Use the in-app report button or email admin@sugardaddyz.com. Reports are confidential and reviewed promptly by our trust & safety team.

10. Emergency Contacts & Resources (United States)

  • Emergency (police, fire, medical): 911
  • National Domestic Violence Hotline: 1-800-799-7233 (SAFE) — thehotline.org
  • RAINN Sexual Assault Hotline: 1-800-656-4673 (HOPE) — rainn.org
