Sugar Daddyz (“Sugar Daddyz,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, who we share it with, and the choices you have. By using Sugar Daddyz you agree to the practices described below.
1. Information We Collect
We collect the following categories of personal information:
- Account information: first name, last name, email address, date of birth, gender, and password (managed by our authentication provider).
- Profile content: photos, bio, interests, role (e.g., sugar daddy, sugar baby), relationship preferences, education, body type, and other optional profile fields you choose to share.
- Location: city, state, ZIP code, and approximate coordinates used to show you nearby matches. You control what location information you provide.
- Usage data: swipes, matches, messages, likes, profile views, login times, device type, browser, and IP address.
- Payment information: subscription tier and billing status. Full card numbers are processed and stored by Stripe — we never see or store your card details.
- Communications: messages sent through the app, reports you submit, and customer support correspondence.
2. How We Use Your Information
- Create and operate your account, including age verification (18+).
- Show you potential matches and enable swiping, messaging, and The Lounge.
- Process subscription payments and manage billing.
- Send transactional emails (welcome, matches, messages, receipts) and optional notifications.
- Detect fraud, prevent abuse, enforce our Terms and Community Guidelines, and keep the platform safe.
- Improve the product through aggregated, de-identified analytics.
- Comply with legal obligations and respond to lawful requests.
3. Third-Party Services
We share limited personal information with trusted service providers that help us run Sugar Daddyz. Each provider is contractually required to protect your data and use it only for the services they provide to us.
- Clerk — authentication, sign-in, OAuth (Google/Apple), and session management.
- Supabase — primary database hosting for profiles, matches, messages, and application data.
- Stripe — subscription billing and payment processing (PCI-DSS compliant).
- Cloudinary — photo and video storage, transformation, and delivery.
- Resend — transactional email delivery.
- Sentry — error monitoring and crash reporting.
- Vercel & Cloudflare — hosting, content delivery, and DDoS protection.
- Upstash Redis — rate limiting and abuse prevention.
We do not sell your personal information to advertisers or data brokers.
4. Your Rights (GDPR & CCPA)
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:
- Access the personal information we hold about you.
- Correct inaccurate or incomplete information.
- Delete your account and associated personal information.
- Port a copy of your data in a machine-readable format.
- Object to or restrict certain processing activities.
- Opt out of the “sale” or “sharing” of your data — note that we do not sell your data.
- Withdraw consent at any time where processing is based on consent.
To exercise any of these rights, email us at admin@sugardaddyz.com or use the “Delete Account” option in Settings. We will respond within the time period required by applicable law.
5. Data Retention
- Active account data is retained for as long as your account is active.
- After account deletion, personal information is removed or anonymized within 30 days, except where a longer retention period is required for legal, tax, fraud-prevention, or safety reasons.
- Backup copies are purged on our standard rotation schedule (typically within 90 days).
- Aggregate, de-identified analytics may be retained indefinitely.
6. Cookies & Similar Technologies
We use strictly necessary cookies to keep you signed in, remember your preferences, and protect the platform from abuse. We also use limited analytics and error-tracking cookies to measure performance and fix bugs. You can control cookies through your browser settings — disabling strictly necessary cookies will prevent sign-in from working.
7. Children
Sugar Daddyz is strictly for adults 18 years or older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If we learn that a minor has created an account, we will delete it immediately. Report suspected underage accounts to admin@sugardaddyz.com.
8. Security
We use industry-standard safeguards including TLS encryption in transit, encrypted storage at rest, row-level security in our database, rate limiting, and ongoing monitoring. No system is 100% secure — please use a strong, unique password and notify us immediately if you suspect unauthorized access.
9. International Users
Sugar Daddyz is operated from the United States. If you access the service from outside the U.S., your information will be transferred to, stored, and processed in the United States.
10. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via email or in-app notice before they take effect. The “Last Updated” date at the top reflects the latest revision.
